I've almost been here a year and I'm not sure if my blog is helpful to people who aren't living here because that was my original aim.
I want to write about things that other people want to hear about...so what would you guys like to see/hear? Feedback is necessary to evaluate.
Also, thank you to everyone who has sent me packages and letters, it has meant the world to me!

I really like your posts. They're a nice mix of your anecdotal encounters with people (probably my favorite), odd culture shock-type things, and descriptions of your work and how it's going.

I guess I would be curious to know about what misconceptions you might have had that have changed, because those are probably the things that most of us back here STILL don't understand (I thought your post on female circumcision was really interesting for that--just re-setting us in a totally different framework of "right," "wrong," and "normal.;
